The American West Symphony and Chorus of Sandy is involved in numerous community events throughout the year.

Free Concerts

The Symphony offers numerous free concerts throughout the year, including performances on Temple Square and the annual summer pops concert in June.

Piano Competition Program

Winners of our piano competition perform with the Symphony at our concerts. This gives middle school, high school, and college-aged students the rare opportunity to perform a major piano work with a full orchestra.

Canyons Youth Symphony

Each year the American West Symphony partners with the Canyons School District. Young musicians of the District's Canyons Youth Symphony (grades 4-9) perform side-by-side with professionals.

Instrument Petting Zoo at the Sandy Library

The instrument petting zoo is a favorite with kids and adults alike, as participants get the opportunity to try out different instruments.
